A field guide to Ellies

Wow, I haven't updated this journal in a while, so...

Here's a list of all the Ellies, starting with the original:

simply_ellie: The original Ellie, and generally the most active. She had her one year Nexusversary this past week, and in celebration of their first meeting, she married her Master and love of her life, master_simon. Ellie's best friend Anne, aliceonthe_edge, also recently found the Nexus.

fidget_kitten: The first Ellie alt, who is actually simply_ellie permanently aged at fourteen. She's at the happiest age prior to anything bad happening, so no teasing by classmates or anything else of that nature. The only way she can find the Nexus is by dreaming, usually when simply_ellie is asleep herself.

puissance_ellie: An alt that originally attended middleareahigh but is now schooled in Indiana and also at prime_education. A better equestrian than simply_ellie, she's a little more competitive than her alt. Her boyfriend is michael_anders, a younger alt of master_simon, and they live on adjacent farms.

shibarikitten: An older alt of puissance_ellie, married to shibarichoirboy right after college. Not currently active.

ellie_anders: The oldest of all the Ellies (though not by much), her Mike, mike_anders, moved to an adjacent farm in high school and had saved her from a meanspirited trick by cruel classmates. The same age, they dated all through high school and college, and were married after graduation. Mike is currently a Top Gun pilot in the Navy, stationed overseas in the Persian Gulf. This Ellie will be getting some bad news this year regarding her health, and will struggle with how to tell her husband and managing the aftermath of the disease.

kittengoneawry: Evil Ellie Clone for an upcoming plot. Younger than simply_ellie but older than puissance_ellie, she's a unholy terror that will be rampaging through the Nexus with her partner in crime, choirboygonebad. Yes, be very afraid!

I finally made Young!Ellie: fidget_kitten. She's not an alternate, and is only a younger version of simply_ellie. Not sure when I'll post with her, but she's ready to use!

For nightflowering

Five things Ellie wants that can fit in a breadbox:
1. She'd never put them in a breadbox, but for the other kittens to have survived. That's more than five sadly, but still.
2. A wedding ring to give to Michael.
3. An easy-to-grip trowel and bulb planter.
4. A box of cards to send to friends.
5. Some seashells and photographs of their honeymoon.

Five things Ellie wants that can fit in a garage:
1. A new sled! Provided there's enough snow this winter, and she feels up to sledding.
2. An ergonomically designed shovel for gardening.
3. Though she wouldn't ever keep it in the garage, one of Fidget's foals.
4. A large selection of art, art history, archaeology, and history books. Nothing by Budge, of course.
5. A windowbox of snapdragons and dahlias.

Five things Ellie wants that have no physical shape:
1. A cure for her disease.
2. Long, happy lives for her friends, Michael, and herself.
3. A beautiful sunset every night, just in case.
4. An end to animal cruelty.
5. For there to always be a safe place for people like her to go.
